Are you an Avenger Theater alumnus?
Family member of a current student?
Theater-loving community member?
In 2023 we began a new initiative with the mission to support the students and staff of the Avenger Theater program. The Avenger Theater Society is an adult non-profit group that helps to promote, raise funds, spread awareness, sell tickets, manage merchandise, provide meals, celebrate seniors, and much more – while having lots of fun at the same time! We meet several times throughout the school year.

Each team has 1 or 2 leads who organize and help to remove blockers for their team’s volunteers. Leads are responsible for getting volunteers assigned for team tasks; this can also include student volunteers. This document is primarily a reference for the leads to manage tasks for each team and group.
Society Membership
Each fall, the parents/guardians of interested students (all grades) attend a required meeting to learn about the Avenger Theater program for students and the Avenger Theater Society that supports the program. Individuals indicate the level of interest they have in participating (their “role” in the Avenger Theatrical Universe). Current Society leads and members will follow up with individuals interested in joining/volunteering for the season/school year.
Society members meet several times throughout the school year with board officers, leads, and volunteers present. Members can be on one or more teams and can be assigned to as few or as many tasks as they feel they can complete. Leads can also have specific tasks assigned to them. Team membership is not term limited and team volunteers can join/leave throughout the year.
Board Officers
The Avenger Theater Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization. The State of Rhode Island requires us to have three officers responsible for organizational administration. We have three officers (president, secretary, and treasurer), an at-large member, and a program liaison who is the advisor for the Avenger Theater students. These officers will collaborate with the volunteer teams and can also act as leads or volunteer for additional tasks within each team.
